April 2007 Buyer's Guide to budget & midrange PC's
I've always been a fan of "rolling-your-own-PC". The last desktop PC I ever purchased was a Tandy 1000TL. Since then, I purchased "clones" instead and then started rolling my own ever since the 486 CPU was released by Intel. AnandTech has released their latest guide in building your own Budget & Midrange PC which is a great starting point in learning what's needed in a budget or a midstream/gaming platform and the prices associated with each.
